It is filled with a rich collection of 18th-century treasures all put together with great style to make a most grand but inviting lived in stately home.
Frequent winner in Yorkshire in Bloom – Gold Award 2024 – the gardens attract visitors from both home and abroad and have been featured in many prestigious publications. Herbaceous and rose borders are full of rare and interesting plants laid out with great care over the past 50 years.
In the grounds are a walled pond garden, Edwardian Fernery, Georgian Ice House, and a Woodland Walk. There are also tearooms to visit.
