Sandringham House, the Norfolk country retreat of His Majesty the King, is set in 60 acres of beautiful gardens and open daily April until the end of October.
Enjoy the nine ground floor rooms inside Sandringham House, explore the charming parish church, 600 acres of Royal Parkland, Children’s playground, waymarked trails, Restaurants and Cafés and Shop.

Sandringham House and Gardens
Sandringham House and Gardens are open daily from 28th March to 9th October, seven days a week. The estate is closed between 19th–28th July and 20th–23rd August.
During the open season, visiting hours are:
- House: 10am–4.30pm (last entry 3.30pm)
- Garden: 10am–5pm (last entry 4pm)
- Ticket Office: 10am–5pm
Family Mornings
The House is open as normal to all visitors every Saturday morning between 10am–11am for family visits.
St Mary Magdalene Church
The church is open during the same season as the House and Gardens: 28th March to 9th October, with the same closures between 19th–28th July and 20th–23rd August.
Church opening hours are:
- Monday–Saturday: 11am–5pm
- Sunday: 1pm–5pm
Please note that opening times may change due to services and private events such as weddings and funerals. The church will be closed to visitors on Good Friday, 3rd April 2026. There are no bathroom facilities at the church.
Historic Houses members must also obtain tickets before a visit, and must have their membership card to hand on arrival at the ticket office.
Due to the growing popularity of Sandringham we have found it necessary that will only accept coaches and groups that have been pre-booked in advance.
Groups are 20 or more people.
We are dedicated to ensuring the level of visitors on site is comfortable for everyone and allows each group and individual enough time to enjoy a quality experience.

6 miles north-east of King’s Lynn and is signposted from the A148 Fakenham road and the A149 Hunstanton road.
