Country house dating from 1650 with some cellars from c. 1350 and many original features; 1720 library, Victorian additions, and outbuildings. The site has been in the ownership of the original family for over 900 years.
The tour includes a brief history of the family and the present house, a one-hour tour of the interior and a one-hour tour of the grounds and outbuildings. By special request visits to areas not on the general tour, such as the cellars or the carillon may be made. These have narrow steps or ladder access.

Afternoon tea in the music room
Limited: 2 or 3 shallow steps up into house can be managed by wheelchairs. Only the ground floor accessible. Exterior tour is wheelchair accessible except for one building on the first floor. One disabled WC on site, but it is not in the house so takes a while to reach.
No dogs in the house but can be left during the house tour and taken on the outbuildings tour.
