Restoration-Award_highly-commendedBuilt on the site of a Roman Fort and containing within it a 16th-century pele tower, Netherby Hall is located on the Border with Scotland on the edge of the Debatable Lands.

The stables and walled garden have been recently restored and offer a chance to experience living history.

Netherby Hall is grade II* listed mansion house located close to the border with Scotland on the edge of the Debatable Lands, once the home of outlaws from both kingdoms. Ten miles north of Hadrian’s Wall, it stands on the site of a Roman fort and a 16th-century pele tower is contained within the later 17th-, 18th- and 19th-century additions.

From the 16th to the 20th centuries. it was home to to the Graham family. The stables and walled garden have recently been restored and can be seen working much as they would have done in the past. Self-catering accommodation apartments have been created within the main building and grounds.
