The garden, set on a number of levels, has many stone steps which may be slippery in wet weather. The gravel paths are difficult for wheel chair users.
Morland House is adjacent to the ancient Church of St Lawrence, with a private gate leading from the garden to the churchyard. The historic, spacious country house makes an excellent base for the bridal party to stay, in preparation for the big day, whilst the day after, your house guests have time to relax. The garden has many splendid locations for wedding photographs. Although we do not cater for large wedding parties in the house, which can only be used by the bridal party, we can accommodate up to 50 guests in the Old School, at the bottom of the drive. This can be hired separately.
For larger gatherings, we collaborate with Long Acre Barn and Acre Kitchens and offer a unique extended wedding experience. Your special guests can be close at hand staying in Morland House with the bride, enjoying a catered dinner all together on the eve of the wedding, whilst the day after, guests have time to relax and enjoy country house living and the beautiful gardens. The wedding ceremony can either be in the adjacent Saxon church of St Lawrence or in the rural setting of the newly renovated Long Acre Barn in the neighbouring village of King’s Meaburn (where the party can continue).

We booked Morland House for our family to stay in for our wedding at St Lawrence Church just next door. We had a super celebration with plenty of space and charm to share meals, bubbly and wedding cake at Morland House. The house is a very special place for family and friends to enjoy each others company
