Mapperton is a stunning Tudor / Jacobean house located in West Dorset. Known as Britain’s Finest Manor, it overlooks one of England’s great gardens, with topiary surrounding a fountain court, a orangery, a pergola, borders and ponds leading to an arboretum. Beyond the gardens are woodlands and rolling Dorset countryside with valleys heading to the sea 6 miles away.

Mapperton House is at the centre of a 1900 acre estate, comprising traditional farms and farm buildings, historic cottages and barns (many of which at thatched), woodlands as well as a rewilding project with native breeds of cattle, ponies, pigs and beavers.

Mapperton has a large parking area and flat adjacent field for trailers and the unit base. It has three phase power, a cafe and other facilities. There is accommodation on site in holiday cottages and the main house.

It is located 3 hours from London, 2 hours from Bristol and 1.5 hours from Exeter. It is extremely quiet, far from any main road and is not near any flight paths.
