Welcome to Sandringham Estate, a historic and scenic location that offers a variety of attractions and events for visitors. Below is a detailed summary of the opening times and activities available:
General Opening Times
The Royal Parkland is open year-round and features way-marked trails, a large Children’s Play Area, and dog-friendly areas. The Courtyard, including the Shop, Restaurant, and Terrace Café, is also open daily.
Sandringham House and Gardens
Sandringham House and Gardens are open to the public from 5 April to 10 October, except for closures on 13 July to 3 August and 20 August to 23 August. Visitors can explore eight ground-floor rooms in the House and 60 acres of seasonal Gardens. Tickets for the House and Gardens start at £26, and tickets for the Gardens only start at £15.
Special Events and Activities
- Sunday Lunch: Available every Sunday at the Sandringham Restaurant.
- Afternoon Tea: Available every Friday and Saturday at 2 PM, with children’s teas also offered.
- RHS Sandringham Flower Show: A special event showcasing beautiful flowers and gardening.
Festive Opening Times
During the Christmas period, specific facilities have adjusted hours:
- Christmas Day: Terrace Take Away Café and Toilets open from 9:00 AM to 12:45 PM. Car parks are open and free of charge.
- Boxing Day: Shop open from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Ticket Office open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Terrace Take Away Café open from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and the Restaurant is closed.
- 27-29 December: Shop, Ticket Office, and Terrace Take Away Café open with varying hours. The Restaurant remains closed.
Parking Information
Parking is available in the North and West car parks. Charges apply for visits over 30 minutes, with rates starting at £5 for up to 2 hours and up to £10 for all-day parking. Accessible parking is available in the North car park.
Membership
Memberships are available starting at £60, offering unlimited access to the House and Gardens, discounts on guest tickets, and other benefits.

Historic Houses members must also obtain tickets before a visit, and must have their membership card to hand on arrival at the ticket office.
Due to the growing popularity of Sandringham we have found it necessary that will only accept coaches and groups that have been pre-booked in advance.
Groups are 20 or more people.
We are dedicated to ensuring the level of visitors on site is comfortable for everyone and allows each group and individual enough time to enjoy a quality experience.
