Surrey Sculpture Society & Riverhill Himalayan Gardens launch new sculpture trail for 2025
Collaborating for the first time, Riverhill Himalayan Gardens and Surrey Sculpture Society are delighted to announce the opening of a new sculpture exhibition which will run from 14th May to 29th September 2025. The gardens are open 10am – 5pm Wednesday to Sunday (inclusive) and on Bank Holidays. Pre-booked tickets are not required.
The new trail will be a site-specific curation for these magnificent gardens whose twelve acres overlook the Weald of Kent.
The gardens are home to a number of feature areas including a rock garden, a rose walk, a
magnificent walled garden and even a tortoise walk. There are activity areas for children making this a must-see venue for horticulturalists and families alike.
Visitors will be treated to an extensive exhibition of affordable sculpture, in a range of styles and sizes, suitable for almost any garden or home. The works are by both established and emerging artists and are made in a wide range of materials including bronze, resin, glass, metal, wood, stone, ceramic and found objects. All art will be for sale.
Caroline Wheaton, Surrey Sculpture Society’s Exhibition Manager, commented:
“The Society is delighted to be partnering with Riverhill Himalayan Gardens for its first foray
across the border into Kent. Blending art & nature is our skill and passion and we are excited to put the Society’s 30 years of creativity to work in a new county! We are certain that a beautifully curated mix of sculpture will add a new visual dimension to these celebrated gardens.”
Kate Westbrook, Riverhill Himalayan Garden, said:
“We absolutely love having sculpture here and, having admired the quality and variety of Surrey Sculpture’s work at other locations, we are very excited to see the work here at Riverhill. There is something about the juxtaposition of manmade beauty with natural beauty, that adds something really unique to both elements. We know it will bring inspiration and joy to our staff, volunteers and visitors.
