The Old Hall is a recently renovated Jacobean manor house, set in its own unique and historic estate of 3,000 acres overlooking the Fens towards Ely Cathedral. Since the Morbey family purchased the Oliver Cromwell estate in 1830, the estate has been developed by successive generations into a productive arable farm.

The present generation, Alison and the late Anthony Morbey diversified the house in 2010 into an ‘exclusive use’ venue available for weddings, events and Christmas/dinner parties. Bed & Breakfast accommodation is also available and now offering dinner. Alison plays a fully active role in the running of the business and enjoys developing new components to the business.

The major part of the original Jacobean house fell down and renovations started in 1995. The house since then has been rebuilt, to the exact original design by just one man, who is still working for the family today and now aged 78.
