The Lord Leycester is one of Europe’s most important medieval buildings and has been a home to the Master and Brethren for over 450 years.
Explore the magnificent half-timbered buildings yourself or learn about Warwick’s fascinating history through a Guided Tour from one of our resident ‘Brethren’. Relax in the Tudor gardens and enjoy a traditional afternoon tea in our Great Hall Café.
Discover The Lord Leycester’s history through stunning exhibits such as a unique timeline exhibition featuring important collection items including an original portrait of the charity’s founder, Robert Dudley, his will and Tudor documents from 1585. Children can enjoy tactile displays, puzzles, activities and view a replica model of the medieval buildings made from LEGO® Bricks. Visitors can also enjoy the 500-year-old Master’s Garden featuring a 900 year old Nileometer, a Norman Arch, a Victorian Pineapple Pit, an Edwardian Greenhouse and one of the last remaining sections of Warwick’s medieval town wall.
