Shuttleworth House is wheelchair accessible with both platform and main lift to allow limited mobility visitors to access the main ground floor areas of the Historic House.

Shuttleworth House is located within the Shuttleworth estate in Bedfordshire and can be accessed via two convenient entrances. For weddings and events, guests may use the Alder Drive entrance (SG18 9DT ///forks.extension.drums) or the Old Warden entrance (SG18 9EB ///charts.goodnight.waffle), both providing straightforward access to the House.
The nearest railway stations are Biggleswade (3 miles, approximately 10 minutes by taxi) and Bedford (9.5 miles, approximately 20 minutes by taxi). Shuttleworth also operates a private grass runway at Old Warden Aerodrome for arrivals by air, subject to prior permission.
For those travelling by foot or bike, a network of local footpaths and bridleways connects the estate to surrounding countryside, offering a scenic approach to Shuttleworth House.
Everything about Shuttleworth House was incredible — it was my dream wedding venue, and the Shuttleworth team were superb. The House is beautiful and clearly very well cared for, preserving its history without feeling tired like some other venues we viewed
Having full access made it feel like a home-away-from-home, with flexibility to create quiet spaces and personalise the décor.
