Rode Hall is a beautiful early eighteenth century country house with a fine collection of porcelain and extensive gardens set in a Repton landscape.
Home to the Wilbraham family since 1669, the extensive grounds boast a woodland garden, formal garden designed by Nesfield in 1860, a stunning two acre walled kitchen garden, which provides produce for the farmers’ market and tearooms and a new Italian garden.

Regular Opening Times
Summer Season: 1 April – 30 September
Rode Hall & Gardens is open on Wednesdays and Bank Holiday Mondays from 11am to 4pm. Both the house and gardens are available to visit during these times, or you may choose to explore the gardens only.
Guided House Tours
Guided tours of the house are available every Wednesday during the summer season (1 April – 30 September). Tours depart at 12 noon, 1pm, and 2pm. Please note that spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended.
Kitchen Garden
The beautiful Kitchen Garden is open to visitors on Wednesdays throughout the summer season (1 April – 30 September).
Snowdrop Walk
The annual Snowdrop Walk returns in 2027 from 1 February to 1 March, open Thursday to Sunday, 10am – 3pm. This popular event showcases the estate's snowdrops during their peak flowering season.
Snowdrop Walk Art Exhibition
An art exhibition runs alongside the Snowdrop Walk during the same period (1 February – 1 March).
Free entry to historic houses members except during snowdrop and bluebell walks.

Rode Hall is situated between the A34 and A50 south of Congleton and is close to Little Moreton Hall – follow brown signs in village of Scholar Green or in Rode Heath on A50.
The nearest train stations are in Alsager and Kidsgrove which are a short taxi ride away.
