Painshill Park Trust is committed to providing superior customer service to all of our visitors. We offer a variety of services to ensure the best possible accessibility to the landscape garden and facilities in recognition of the diversity of our general public’s abilities and needs.
Painshill offers an accessible route around the landscape garden, ideal for those less able visitors or easy wheelchair/buggy access. Please note this route does not cover the complete landscape due to various terrains and ground levels but it does allow you to see many of the features including the Crystal Grotto.
Painshill is a beautiful award-winning 18th century landscape garden in Surrey.
The 160 acre wonderland has something for everyone and makes a great family day out. Discover the mystical follies, historic plantings, the John Bartram Heritage Collection of North American trees and shrubs (Plant Heritage, NCCPG), and some of Surrey’s amazing wildlife.
Winding paths will gently guide you on a journey of discovery as you explore many of the mystical follies including the Crystal Grotto, Gothic Temple and Ruined Abbey to name just a few. Enjoy captivating and breathtaking views across the landscape, as you immerse yourself in Hamilton’s Renaissance art inspired vision.
Spend a whole day exploring Painshill or enjoy an accessible walk around the Serpentine Lake. Bring a picnic or relax in Hamilton’s Tea Room which often serves seasonal dishes grown from our own Walled Garden. Don’t forget to pick up a bottle of Painshill English Sparkling Wine (made from grapes grown in our Vineyard) as a memento of your visit.
We will be closed on Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th of May as we host a special event in support of our charity.
During this time, there will be no public access, and tickets will not be available to purchase online or on the day.
We will reopen on Thursday 7th May and look forward to welcoming our visitors again.
