Hidden away in the wild beauty of the Norfolk countryside, Mannington provides an enchanting backdrop for your wedding celebrations. Surrounded by sweeping gardens, centuries-old trees, and tranquil grounds, it feels as though time slows down, making space for moments you will cherish forever.
While Mannington is not licensed for legal wedding ceremonies, we warmly welcome couples planning celebrant-led or blessing-style ceremonies alongside their reception and celebrations. This allows you the freedom to create a day entirely your own, shaped by your vision and style.
Whether you imagine a garden ceremony beneath the trees, a relaxed gathering with loved ones, or something entirely unique, our team can offer as much or as little support as you need throughout the planning process. Your hire includes access to the private gardens and grounds, including a marquee site with views across the medieval moated hall, and two nights’ on-site accommodation for up to 12 guests in our charming cottages, Rose Cottage and Garden House.
For a magical outdoor experience, Amber’s Bell Tent Company provides beautifully furnished bell tents, bookable individually or as a full wedding glamping village adjacent to the grounds, ideal for guests wishing to stay close to the heart of the celebration.
A member of our team will be on hand during setup, throughout your wedding day, and the following morning to ensure everything runs smoothly. For additional support, a dedicated planner can be arranged for an extra fee.
You are welcome to choose all your own suppliers, and we do not charge corkage. Every celebration at Mannington is unique and shaped by the people who bring it to life. To explore what’s possible, we warmly invite you to get in touch or arrange a visit to the estate.
Important information: opening info is generated by artificial intelligence; check specific attraction details before travelling.
The indicator above will show ‘open’ when the public have any kind of access to any part of this property. That could be the park, a shop, or a special event, and may not reflect regular admission times to the main attraction. Always consult the website of the house or garden you intend to visit before travelling to check that the attraction you are interested in is open.
Mannington Gardens and Grounds are open seasonally from Wednesday, 25 March 2026 to Sunday, 1 November 2026. The opening days are Wednesday to Sunday, and the opening hours are 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
During this period, visitors can explore the gardens, parkland walks, lake, and wider estate. The estate also offers a café, shop, and various events and activities. Admission charges and parking fees apply, with parking costing £4. Concessions are available for visitors aged 60+, students with valid ID, disabled visitors, and Blue Badge holders. Members of RHS and Historic Houses receive free admission upon presenting a valid membership card, though parking fees still apply.
Mannington Hall is currently closed to the public due to ongoing conservation and restoration work. The hall is surrounded by scaffolding as part of this effort.
Designated public footpaths on the estate remain open year-round, and holiday cottages are available for booking throughout the year.
Special family-friendly activities include Storybook Sundays every Sunday at 12 PM, Minnows Nature Club sessions, and seasonal events like the Easter Quest and Wild About Mannington. Lawn games and a natural play structure are also available during garden opening times.
The café operates during garden opening hours, offering coffee, pastries, and seasonal treats, with indoor and outdoor seating options.
For accessibility, much of the gardens and visitor areas are level, with accessible toilet facilities and seating throughout. Some areas may have uneven ground or narrower paths due to the historic nature of the estate.
For group visits or specific inquiries, visitors are encouraged to contact the estate via email or phone.
