Mannington Hall is currently closed to the public while important conservation and restoration work takes place. You will see scaffolding around the building as part of this ongoing care.

Public footpaths that run through the estate remain open all year round, and our holiday cottages are available to book throughout the year.

For families, there’s plenty to enjoy, including lawn games, a natural play area and regular activities such as Storybook Sundays at 12pm and Minnows Nature Club sessions. Seasonal highlights include the Easter Quest and Wild About Mannington.

The café serves coffee, cakes and a selection of light bites, with both indoor and outdoor seating available.
Much of the visitor route is level, with accessible toilets and seating throughout. As a historic landscape, some areas may include uneven ground or narrower paths.

Why our members love visiting Mannington Hall

Mannington Hall - Barbara Holroyd

Barbara Holroyd - Visited September 2021

“The bones of Mannington Hall are 15th Century gently fortified with crenellations. It escaped both ravaging armies and later Georgian facadism. It’s a sweetie of a home sitting snug behind its moat. Inside – a juxtaposition of modern collectables, antiques and Victorian tear catchers – new to me too.

We were treated to tea and unctuous cakes in the cafe. The Walpole family are hands on and apart from the renowned collection of roses, they are keen environmentalists and promoters of wildlife. Barn owls are resident. There is an enchanted trail for children and big people! Smashing.”
