Accessibility

The Walled Garden has a rich and diverse history and this is reflected in the site in its entirety. We have made great effort to enable wheeled access wherever possible. We have also providing seating areas throughout the Walled Garden. Visitors are encouraged to let the tour guides know if they would prefer a slower tour and we have great experience with providing a visit suitable to most needs.

We have recently overhaled the entire sun dial area to allow better wheeled access and where we cannot provide access due to the heritage and age of the area we are happy to provide a commentary.

Open Wednesday at the Walled Garden – Pop by and see how far we have come since the Walled Garden Project began over 25 years ago. Entry is from 10.30am and includes a fascinating tour of the garden and its historic service buildings.

As well as the garden being absolutely splendid we also have fascinating new displays in our conservation workshops, a stunning pelargonium collection in our busy prop houses and a newly renovated sundial; nearly at the final stages of its renovation. We have displays situated throughout the garden, and historic structures with rich histories to add to your Walled Garden experience. Bring something fresh home from the Garden Shop (flowers, fruit, veg and plants).

Entry is for all day and you can include a stop at the Woodyard Brasserie for something delicious to make a day of it. (pre booking recommended -Tel: 01582-742912)
