We’d like to welcome you to the Gardens at Eggleston Hall, a Greek revival Georgian home redesigned in 1816 by Ignatius Bonomi, which overlooks the River Tees in outstanding surroundings.

The walled gardens are open to visitors throughout the year.

Visiting the house is by appoinment only. The Coach House Cafe and teashop are open to visitors daily, from February to Christmas. For more information, please see our website.

Barnard Castle, Co Durham, DL12 0AG

By car, Eggleston Hall is signed from the B6278 in the village of Eggleston. The village is located 6 miles from Barnard Castle. It’s around 30 minutes via the A66 from junction 60 on the A1 at Scotch Corner and 45 minutes from junction 38 off the M6 at Tebay.
By train Darlington station (30 minutes by car) is two and a half hours from London. Teesside or Newcastle are the nearest airports.
