Alice Minter - The Collection of Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert

From cracked paintings to micromosaics, Alice Minter delved into the fascinating collection of Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

We were delighted to be joined in November by Alice Minter, senior curator of the Rosalinde & Arthur Gilbert Collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Alice joined the V&A in 2018. Prior to that, she worked for ten years at Sotheby’s London as specialist in ceramics, silver, and gold boxes. Most recently, Alice was a member of this year’s jury panel for the Historic Houses Collections Award.

Alice joined us to explain the origins and techniques of micromosaics, as well as its fashion which spread across Europe, especially in British country houses.
