Visit the Wedding Fair at Penshurst Place & Gardens
Set within the picturesque Weald of Kent, Penshurst Place & Gardens will open its doors to wedding couples on Sunday 1 February for a relaxed and inspiring Wedding Fair, running from 10am to 3pm.

This drop-in event offers the opportunity to explore one of Kent’s most iconic historic venues, with Penshurst’s breath-taking banqueting rooms dressed for a wedding and its beautiful gardens providing a stunning seasonal backdrop. Couples are welcome to wander at their own pace, enjoy a glass of fizz, and gather ideas in an informal and welcoming setting.
Throughout the day, a curated selection of trusted local wedding suppliers will be in attendance, including photographers, florists, cake makers and entertainment providers. Penshurst’s experienced wedding team will also be on hand to answer questions about dates, capacity, catering and styling options, helping couples imagine how their celebration could take shape within the house and gardens.
At the heart of the venue is the magnificent medieval Baron’s Hall, renowned for its soaring chestnut-beamed ceiling and open fire, alongside a collection of characterful reception spaces including the intimate Buttery and the panelled Sunderland Room. Together, these offer flexible options for celebrations of any kind throughout the year.
Beyond the house, the surrounding formal gardens and wider estate provide a spectacular backdrop for photography in every season. Couples can choose from a range of outdoor settings, including the historic Inner Courtyard, which is registered for ceremonies, or opt for a humanist or celebrant-led celebration surrounded by nature. The encircling pergola and scented climbers of the Nut Garden, or the tranquil lakeside setting of Lancup Well, offer particularly romantic locations to exchange vows.
Set within 2,500 acres of parkland and steeped in centuries of history, Penshurst Place has long been associated with hospitality, romance and celebration. The Wedding Fair provides an ideal opportunity not only for those planning a wedding, but also for anyone seeking a unique event or celebration space with heritage, architecture and gardens.
No pre-registration is required — visitors can simply turn up on the day and follow signage to the private entrance at Penshurst Place, TN11 8DH.
