Celebrate the best of local food, drink and artisan crafts at Godinton House & Gardens’ Spring Fair

News from our houses

Celebrate the best of local food, drink, and artisan crafts at Godinton House & Gardens’ Spring Fair on May 16, 2026.

Independent producers, most from within a short distance from Ashford and across Kent, will set up stalls in a marquee opposite the beautiful Grade I* listed house, from 11am to 4pm.

There will be wines from nearby vineyard Wayfarer Wines, in Woodchurch, and Oastwood Wine, in Tenterden, as well as cider from Nightingale Cider Company, in Tenterden, and Wild Spirits of Kent, selling premium spirits infused with berries and fruit from the county’s hedgerows.

Newcomers to the fair include Black & Gold of Biddenden, offering the chance to buy grass-fed 30-day aged Angus/Jersey beef and Primrose Northrop Art showcasing a unique collection of whimsical art and ceramics.

The event also features specialist local nurseries selling plants ready for spring and summer gardens, including RHS Chelsea gold medal-winning Brookfield Plants, of Ashford.

Arts and crafts stalls will offer locally hand-made gifts from jewellery, soaps and skincare products. Alongside, Kent artists will display bespoke sculpture, pottery, paintings and woodcraft. Children’s activities include face painting and hook-a-duck fun.

Hot food will be served by Lambtastic and Rowie’s Pizzas.

Visitors can also enjoy exploring the 12-acre gardens which feature a newly renovated Italian Garden Walled Garden, Twin Borders, Wildflower Meadow and ponds.
