Stonor Park has been the Stonor family’s residence for 850 years making it one of the oldest family homes still lived in today.
When you visit, you will see why. It’s beautiful. Our historic building and sweeping grounds are breathtaking. And our family collection of art and artefacts is extraordinary. It’s fascinating.
You can view the work of St. Edmund Campion, created when he was given refuge here in 1581. And outside sits our oldest resident: a perfectly preserved prehistoric stone circle.
As well as being architecturally fascinating each room contains a lifetime of experience and anecdote.

Tumblestone Hollow Adventure Days
Standard Season: February 15th through July 19th (excluding Easter period), and from September 6th onwards. Open 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
Easter Period: April 5th – 21st (special Easter pricing applies).
Summer Break: July 20th – September 2nd. During this period, Tumblestone Hollow operates as Wild Summer or Camp Tumblestone with extended activities.
Special Events
Halloween at Tumblestone Hollow – The Moon Witch's Halloween Adventure: Available during October Half Term. Bookings are now open for this special event.
Stonor House, Chapel & Pantry Café
Open on selected dates throughout the year. Please check the opening times calendar for specific dates when Stonor House, Chapel and Pantry Café are accessible.
Stonor Gardens
Available on days when gardens are accessible. Please check the opening times calendar for current availability. Note that gardens are not available for group bookings, guided tours, or on days with special events.
Combined Visits
Stonor House, Chapel and Gardens (without Tumblestone Hollow): Open on days when the house is open. Please consult the opening times calendar. These offers exclude group bookings, guided tours, and special event days.
Stonor House, Chapel and Gardens (with Tumblestone Hollow Adventure Playground): Open on days when both the house and Tumblestone Hollow are operating. Please check the opening times calendar for dates when both attractions are available.

Enjoy privately guided tours of either the House and Chapel, the Gardens on their own, or The House, Chapel and Gardens.
Private tours of just the House & Chapel also include full access to the Gardens but do not include a private guided tour of the Gardens.

Stonor is located between the M4 (J8/9) and the M40 (J6) on the B480 Henley-on-Thames – Watlington Road.
When coming from the M40 always come off at Jct 6 rather than following the SatNav, as it can add up to an hour to your journey.
The nearest railway station is Henley-on-Thames. Taxis are available from the Station and will cost approximately £15. We are not accessible by any other form of pubic transport.
