Houghton Lodge is a stunning location for weddings and is one of the most romantic Historic Houses in Hampshire. Overlooking the famous chalk stream of The River Test, with panoramic views over the water meadows along the Test Valley. The house is a private family home where we offer a welcoming, friendly and amazingly special venue for couples who are looking for a unique and exclusive wedding ceremony and reception.
Ceremony: Houghton Lodge is a licensed wedding venue offering a selection of spectacular locations: on the riverbank overlooking the sparkling waters of the River Test, to the colourful walled garden, the exquisite Music Room and Chinese Dining Room, Fishing Hut and Woodland Grotto. The local 12th century church, All Saints Houghton, is a short walk away.
Reception: Formal and informal receptions work beautifully at Houghton Lodge Gardens. Whether you envisage a marquee on the banks of the river with food trucks and sharing platters, a luxurious 4 course wedding breakfast in the dazzling Glass House, or a picnic in the Oriental Garden, the options are limitless making Houghton Lodge the ideal venue for weddings of all sizes, from intimate gatherings of 2 to grand celebrations of 300.
