Hodnet Hall Gardens offers a unique experience of historic gardens and parkland, open to visitors during specific times of the year. Below is a detailed summary of the opening times, events, and admission details for the 2026 season.
Opening Times
The gardens are open from March 15th to October 30th, 2026, on the following days:
- Sundays
- Wednesdays
- Fridays
- Bank Holiday Mondays
Opening hours are from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Note: Due to the historic nature of the gardens, some areas may have limited accessibility for visitors with mobility challenges. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
Admission Prices
- General Admission - Adult: £10.00
- General Admission - Children: £1.00 (Children under 5 are free)
- 2026 Season Ticket: £50.00 (Allows entry from March to October 2026, excluding National Garden Scheme Open Day)
- Summer Plant Fair Day: £6.00
Special Events
- Summer Plant Fair: Held on Saturday, June 6th, and Sunday, June 7th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission is £6.00, and children can enter for free.
- National Garden Scheme Open Day: Scheduled for Sunday, July 5th, 2026. Proceeds support Hospice UK and other charities.
Group Bookings and Exclusive Access
Exclusive access to the gardens can be arranged for large groups outside normal opening hours. Refreshments can be provided upon request. Joint entry tickets for Hodnet Hall and Dorothy Clive Gardens are available for pre-booked groups of 20 or more.
Additional Information
Season tickets are non-transferable and require ID for entry. Up to three children under 16 can enter free with a season ticket holder. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door using cash, card, or contactless payment.
Historic Houses members visit for free except on Plant Fair Days/National Garden Scheme days. Pre-booking is not required, just turn up on the day.
