Duns Castle, named Venue of the Year at the 2017 Scottish Event Awards, is an idyllic, exclusive-use venue for weddings, film shoots, holidays, meetings and events.

Located just one hour south-east of Edinburgh, the stunning 1200-acre estate boasts its own nature reserve complemented by extensive lawns, forest trails, historical sites and bespoke activities. The castle dates from 1320 and has been the home of the Hay family since 1696. The property sleeps up to 55 among its 12 unique bedrooms and its 6 holiday cottages and can seat 60 for dinner. An enchanting paradise for wedding couples and their photographers, it is hardly surprising that Duns Castle recently starred in a global marketing campaign linked to Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Duns Castle is also hugely symbolic as a choice of wedding venue, for the Scottish Covenanter forces amassed here in 1639 to successfully defend Scotland’s freedom of worship.
