Opening Times
Summer Season (1st April – 30th September)
Dunnottar Castle is open daily from 09:00 to 18:00. Last entry is at 17:00.
Winter Season (1st October – 31st March)
The castle opens daily from 10:00. Closing times vary and are listed separately. Last entry is one hour before the closing time.
Annual Closures
Dunnottar Castle is closed on the following dates each year:
- 25th & 26th December
- 1st & 2nd January
Additional planned closure dates may apply and are noted separately.
Year-Round Access
The castle is open all year round, weather permitting. In the event of bad weather, the castle may be closed at short notice for safety reasons.
