The Hall regularly hosts exhibitions, lectures and music festivals and is home to the internationally renowned York Mystery Pays.
Local societies regularly use the Hall for their annual dinners and awards evening.
Companies entertaining clients will be able to strengthen business links in this impressive building with impressive food to match. We can also offer business breakfasts and corporate entertaining.
We are an authentic medieval setting for film and TV with original timber-framed roof, stone walls, stained glass, and ecclesiastical heritage, the Hall provides a ready-made period set suitable for medieval to Georgian narratives. The Hall can serve as a Refectory or great hall, Noble residence or chapel or a Guildhall, courtroom or college interior. Discreetly located , Bedern Hall is central, accessible, and remarkably private—ideal for controlled shoots. We welcome enquiries, recces, and conversations with location managers, producers, and creatives.
