Ballydugan House
Ballydugan House, 61 Ballydugan Road, Downpatrick, County Down BT30 8HA
Built about 1780 on a height after a previous house lower down on the farm was burnt down in the 1642 rebellion by “the treachery of the servants” and the West family lived in outhouses for 100 years before rebuilding, using stone from the original house. The West family who lived here for quite some considerable time visited quite recently.
The house has been lived in for 40 years by us and by five families in total.
There is a lovely yard with several joined up outbuildings including stables
