Membership benefits

What are the benefits of being a Corporate Member?

Corporate membership is a great way for businesses and individuals who supply goods and services to the owners of historic properties to let potential customers and clients know about relevant products.

Membership benefits include:

  • A supplier profile in our searchable online directory including your company logo, company description, contact information, and images.
  • A supplier profile in our printed Supplier Directory, part of our Yearbook published each Autumn. You profile includes your company logo, a brief company description, and contact information.
  • Access to post time-sensitive offers to our House Members through our online Opportunities Board.
  • Subscription to our quarterly magazine Historic House and our annual Yearbook.
  • Access to our National AGM and, subject to availability, regional and national House Member events.
  • Discounts on advertising space in Historic House magazine.
  • Discounts on stall hire at our annual Historic Buildings, Parks and Gardens Event in London.

How can I promote my corporate membership?

How do I promote my affiliation with Historic Houses?

Corporate membership does not constitute endorsement or accreditation by Historic Houses. As an association of member places we strive to maintain our independent status and therefore do not have ‘official’ or ‘recommended’ suppliers. We therefore ask that if you wish to make reference to your affiliation with us that you simply state that you are a “corporate member of Historic Houses”.

Can I use your logo to promote our affiliation?

The use of our logo is strictly forbidden as it can be interpreted as an endorsement or accreditation. Corporate members are not allowed to use our logo on their websites or on any other materials.

Can you tell me how many times my listing has been clicked on?

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide click information related to your online supplier profile such as page views, unique visitors or other digital metrics.

Can you promote my company in an email/ on social media?

Sadly, we are not able to offer direct marketing to our member places through promotional emails or posts on our social media.

Events

Can I come to events?

Our regional and national events programme is primarily designed to support our House Members. Where capacity allows, however, corporate members are invited to these events.

All corporate members are welcome to attend our National AGM, held each November in London. Corporate members can also get a discount on stall hire at the Historic Buildings, Parks, and Gardens Event that runs alongside the AGM ensuring our members have a place to come and network with your team.

Can I leave leaflets at events?

Corporate members are prohibited from flyering/leafleting our events.

Each Historic Houses event will have its own sponsors. These sponsorship agreements include exclusivity around the promotion of the event and includes promotional collateral, such as leaflets. For this reason, we are unable to permit corporate members to distribute other materials at our events.

Can I speak at an event?

Our events are built around specific themes and topics, and on occasion we do invite corporate members to speak. When opportunities arise, potential speakers are typically identified through the Supplier Directory. We therefore encourage corporate members to ensure their online supplier profiles are current and clearly outline their expertise.

Sponsorship

How do I become a sponsor?

Every sponsorship package is negotiated on a bespoke basis to suit the sponsor’s needs and strengths. Elements commonly associated with sponsorship include:

  • Exclusivity within an industry sector.
  • Logo presence on publications and physical presence at events.
  • Speaking slots at at our national and regional AGMs.
  • First-line advice services for our house members.
  • Contributions of articles and guidance notes to our magazine and website.

You can find our more about sponsorship on our sponsor us page.
