The front steps to the Hall are quite steep so access for people with disabilities is via the back door. Notice should be given to the office so that ramps can be put down.
The ground floor of the Hall is all on one level. However to get to the Ballroom visitors with disabilities should go out the way they came in and then there is vehicular access to get to the Ballroom, or a good push up a bit of a slope. Once at the Ballroom, where refreshments are served, access is good, as well as to the toilets.
Most of the Garden can be visited by wheelchair users and there are some steps which can be avoided if necessary. Obviously if the ground is wet this may be more of a challenge as there are no solid paths, it is all on grass.
Walcot Hall is considered as one of the top wedding and events venues in Shropshire.
With its turquoise freestanding ballroom, characterful accommodation and eclectic furnishings, it really is a feast for the eyes.
The 30 acres of grounds, including one of the finest arboretums in Britain, offer a wide variety of panoramas, floral displays and garden features including the extensive lake, walled courtyard, unusual statues and fountain.
Whether people wanted an outdoor event or to hire one of our holiday cottages for a weekend away, this vast estate makes for one of the most impressive historical venues and memorable holiday destinations within the Shropshire Hills.
