Enjoy family days out for less this summer at Burghley
This summer visitors to Burghley House can enjoy reduced admission prices as part of the Government’s Great British Summer Savings scheme. Running from 25 June to 1 September, the scheme helps make days out more affordable for families.

From outdoor adventures and imaginative play to beautiful gardens and fascinating history, there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained during a day out at Burghley. Hide & Secrets Adventure Play has helped establish Burghley as a popular destination for families, with its woodland setting, multi-level play, enormous slides, climbing walls and wobbly walkways. Beyond the play area families can spend time exploring the Gardens, from colourful wildflower displays to thought-provoking sculpture, before stepping inside Burghley House to discover more than 500 years of history, art and stories.
Lucy Johnsrud, Operations Manager at Burghley House said:
“Summer is one of the best times to visit Burghley, with so much to see and do across the House, Gardens and Adventure Play as well as a packed programme of events and activities. We understand how important days out can be for families, and we’re pleased to be able to pass on the Summer Savings in full to our visitors. We look forward to welcoming visitors to Burghley over the summer.”
The Great British Summer Savings scheme is a Government initiative that temporarily reduces the rate of VAT on admissions at eligible UK family attractions between 25 June and 1 September 2026. Burghley is taking part in the scheme and has passed the saving on through reduced prices on day tickets during this period.
Reduced Summer Savings prices are available to book now and apply to Adult, Child and Family day tickets for visits to Burghley between Thursday 25 June and Tuesday 1 September 2026. Savings are available both online and at the Ticket Desk. Any tickets already purchased for these dates at the full rate will be refunded the difference.
