Kelburn is situated on an ancient glen so may of the paths and walks are difficult for those with accessibility needs.
Our main facilities can be accessed via wheelchair, including the information centre, cafe, shop and toilets.
One of Kelburn’s most popular attraction for the kids is the Secret Forest: a fairy tale inspired maze with a witch’s cottage, a giant’s castle, and much more! There’s also the Saloon play area, complete with wooden walkways, tunnels, slide and a 20ft tower to climb!
Kelburn’s stunning woodland glen has a number of twisted trails and paths for exploring, with plenty of creative surprises to see along the way. Trek to the top of the glen and you’ll be rewarded with incredible views across the Firth of the Clyde and over to the Isle of Arran.
The Waterfall Pool, set in a spectacular sandstone grotto is just 250 yards from the colourful castle.
Kelburn’s castle was painted in 2007 and is now recognised as one of the world’s top 10 examples of street art by author and designer Tristan Manco – on a par with Banksy’s work in Los Angeles and the Favela Morro Da Providencia in Rio de Janeiro.
The estate runs events all through the year, including magical interactive children’s events and the famous Haunted Forest so keep an eye on their website and social media for updates.
You can even make a weekend of it and glamp at Kelburn in their stunning hillside yurts or bring your own tent and pitch up!
