Wall Paintings
Access to the rooms with wall paintings are down two steps, but full interpretation of the paintings and a replica is available on the second floor accessible by lift.

Café
Farmers Fayre café open from 8am – 5pm, Wednesday – Sunday. Serving lunches, afternoon teas, hot and cold drinks.

Car park
We have a large car park available for Charterhouse visitors just off London Road (A4114). Parking is free for visitors to the Charterhouse when open and if you register on arrival at reception. Other car park users must pay for parking Monday to Sunday between 8am and 9pm.

Cycle parking
Available in the main car park.

Dogs allowed
Dogs on leads welcome in the car park, public footpaths across the estate, and lawn area of the gardens. Assistance dogs only in the house and planted area of the gardens.

Family friendly
With lots of open space and freedom to explore and play, Charterhouse is an ideal place for a family day out. The house is ready for explorers on rainy days, with interactive displays and an activity room. Look out for wildlife on the pond, roll out your picnic blanket or explore the children’s playground, there’s plenty to keep everyone busy.

Picnic area
We have picnic tables in the walled garden, and visitors are welcome to picnic on the lawn in the walled garden. There are also lots of picnic spots in the wider Charterhouse park.
