The sun shines on Wales Tourism Week

News from our houses Politics

Wales Tourism Week ran from 16 – 22 May 2022, and we were delighted to see Historic Houses properties hosting events for Senedd members and members of the public to champion the importance of tourism in Wales.

Iscoyd Park welcomed MSs from the Labour Party and Plaid Cymru, with constructive discussions on heritage and tourism issues, including levelling up the rural economy and the role in which heritage can play in reaching net zero.

Treowen, Monmouthshire, also hosted an Invitation to View event, which was attended by Peredur Owen Griffiths, MS for South Wales East as well as members of the public, who enjoyed the opportunity to have a guided tour of the house and gardens.

We were also delighted to see our Wales Policy Advisor, Adrian Greason-Walker, feature on an ITV Wales segment on Wales Tourism Week – and to hear mention of historic house businesses as part of this!
