Craft in Focus, who have organised three previous fairs at Hever Castle in September is once again returning to the historic venue, this time in May.

Visitors can browse a variety of stands from textiles to paintings, furniture, ceramics, glass and jewellery, meet the craft makers who made them, sample food and drink and listen to live bands.

Items for sale range from both emerging British talent to more established designer makers. Open air sculptures will also be on display to see and buy.

All the exhibitors have designed and made the work that they display and have been selected for their individuality and innovation in contemporary design, as well as outstanding technical ability.

Artists and craft makers at this event come from throughout the UK, with a number of them from Kent.

The event includes several exhibitors who will be demonstrating how their work is created and this year some of the contestants from The Great Pottery Throw Down TV programme will be demonstrating raku firing and throwing on the wheel.

Organiser, Rob Chapman says: “We are delighted to be staging an event at Hever in the spring as well as in September and can’t wait to see our show held within the beautiful spring gardens which make an ideal backdrop for the show. We’ve had such positive feedback from visitors about the high quality of our event and exhibitors and visitors appreciate the fact that we keep our standards high and have stuck with our principles of only allowing work made by the exhibitor to be presented. This has really set us apart from many other craft fairs. We hope that people will come and enjoy the event and see and purchase work from some of the many talented designer makers we have in the UK.”
