New Community Site at the Bishop’s Palace

The Bishops Palace Chapel in the snow

Have you ever wanted to help out, take part or simply find out about everything that is going on in the amazing little city of Wells? Thanks to a new initiative, now you can, by visiting the newly launched online platform called “Let’s Do It Wells!”

Users can sign up for challenges that vary from a few minutes of their time, to regular volunteering, or they can simply click on the events calendar to find out what they can join in with. A great way to boost a CV, learn new skills or why not make it part of your new year’s resolution for 2021? Many tasks can be done from the comfort of your own home and it’s a great way to be involved in the community even if you can’t get out and about right now.

The site launched on 30 November and The Bishop’s Palace, Wells Coronavirus Network, and the Connect Centre have been working on the initiative over the last few months. Thanks to Heritage Lottery Funding, The Bishop’s Palace has been able to purchase a cutting edge system from a local company that has developed Volunteer Makers digital platforms across the UK.
