The family duo who’ve spent decades shaping Muncaster Castle into a highly popular visitor attraction have been recognised for their lifelong services to tourism in Cumbria.

Iona and Peter Frost-Pennington were jointly presented with the Bernard Gooch Award for ‘Cumbria’s Tourism Personality of the Year’ at the Cumbria Tourism Awards last night (Wed, July 5). It’s the highest award collectively given by the industry for lifelong services to tourism.
