Celebrate Mothering Sunday at Hever Castle

Things to see and do
Hever Castle is the perfect family day out in Kent

Show mum you care by celebrating at Hever Castle & Gardens this Mother’s Day

Enjoy a family day out at the historic Castle and stunning gardens over the weekend of 26 and 27 March. Children can take part in a free workshop to make a keyring or pose for a family photo in our Mother’s Day frame with the beautiful Castle as your background.

Explore the historic Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, work up an appetite with a wander around the stunning 125 acre grounds or let the kids run off some energy in the Tudor Towers adventure playground or the Acorn Dell natural play area. As well as the Mother’s Day themed activities a visit to Hever Castle in spring offers a great chance to explore the stunning gardens and enjoy the dazzling display of daffodils.

Celebrate with a tempting afternoon tea of freshly prepared finger sandwiches, savouries and a delicious array of cakes and desserts (pre-booking essential) in the Pavilion Restaurant. This is accompanied with a selection of hot and cold beverages with each guest treated to a complimentary glass of sparkling wine (adults only) or elderflower fizz.

The afternoon tea in the Pavilion Restaurant costs £27.50 per person or £12.50 per child (up to 12 years) and is served from 1pm on Saturday (26 March) and 1pm and 3pm on Sunday (27 March).

On the Sunday (27 March) visitors can also enjoy a luxury afternoon tea at 1pm or 3pm in the grand wood panelled Tudor Suite Dining Room. The tea costs £38.00 for adults and £17.00 for children under 12.

Afternoon teas must be pre-booked and paid for by 3pm on Tuesday 22 March 2022. The menu is subject to change. Annual Members’ discount is not valid for the afternoon tea menu.

Please note admission to Hever Castle & Gardens is required and is not included in the cost of afternoon tea. Normal entry costs to the Castle & Gardens apply.
