Knebworth House Joins Government’s Great British Summer Savings Scheme

Families visiting Knebworth House, Gardens & Park this summer can enjoy significant savings as the historic Hertfordshire attraction joins the UK Government’s new Great British Summer Savings scheme.

 

Running from 25th June to 1st September 2026, the initiative will see VAT on admission tickets temporarily reduced, helping families enjoy more affordable days out during the summer holidays.

As part of the scheme, visitors to Knebworth House, Gardens & Park can take advantage of reduced admission prices, for example a Single Gardens & Park ticket will be £13.60 instead if £15.50, or a family ticket £50.75 reduced from £58.

Martha Lytton-Cobbold, Managing Director, said:

“We will be applying this VAT cut to both admission tickets and children’s lunch box meals, adding even more value to a family day out at Knebworth House, Gardens & Park. We are excited to welcome more families for a summer packed with history, adventure, entertainment, and outdoor fun for all ages.”

Knebworth House offers visitors a full day out with its historic house, beautiful gardens, dinosaur trail, adventure playground, and extensive parkland, making it one of Hertfordshire’s most popular family destinations.

From Thursday 16th July to Sunday 6th September, Knebworth House, Gardens & Park will be open daily throughout the summer season, offering families the perfect destination for a memorable day out. Whether exploring prehistoric trails, relaxing in the gardens or enjoying live summer events, there is something for everyone to discover.

Dinosaur Trail Adventure

Travel back in time along the famous Dinosaur Trail, where 72 life-sized dinosaurs are hidden among the woodland paths. It’s a roaring adventure guaranteed to delight explorers of all ages!

Adventure Playground

Let little adventurers burn off energy. Featuring climbing frames, zip wires, water play, and the iconic Fort Knebworth, it’s the perfect spot for active family fun.

Film Tours, 25th July, 1st, 8th & 15th August

Step into the world of film and television with a guided tour of Knebworth House. Led by a knowledgeable guide, this experience brings the estate’s rich cinematic history to life.

Picnic in the Park

Hands-On History, 29th July, 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th August

Step back in time and discover what life was like during the Victorian and Tudor England Eras. Join costumed guides in the gardens of Knebworth House, where they will use object handling to bring history to life and help you discover what life was like in the past.
