Traquair House Opening Postponed and Update on events

Traquair House has announced that it will be delaying its opening due on the 1st April and is planning to open on 1st May if it is safe to do so. Any updates or changes will be posted on our website

At present the following events have been cancelled; The Traquair Easter Eggstravaganza (Sunday 12th April), The BMF Bears & Bikes event (Thursday 14th – Sunday 17th May),  Traquair Medieval Fayre (Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May) and Shakespeare at Traquair (Wednesday 27th – Saturday 30th May and Wednesday 3rd June – Saturday 6th June) . Decisions on future summer events will be taken in due course.

Traquair Grounds and the Maze will open as usual on 1st April and visitors are welcome to purchase a season pass on our web site. Traquair Ales can still be ordered and collected on site or through our local outlets at The Hub, Innerleithen or Villeneuve Wines in Peebles.

Catherine Maxwell Stuart commented; “It is with a heavy heart we have had to cancel so many events already and postpone the opening of the house, but in light of COVID 19 we are left with no option. We hope our regular visitors will continue to enjoy the grounds and walks and support all local businesses in this very difficult time”.
