Auckland Castle is re-opening

Auckland Projects have some exciting news to share with you: Auckland Castle is re-opening on Saturday, 2 November 2019, after three years of conservation work.

To celebrate, they will be holding an event on Saturday, 2 November 2019, with general admission beginning the following day (Sunday, 3 November).

Auckland Castle Community Day

Starting with a ribbon cutting at 10.30am, the event will include live entertainment and activities, as well as an opportunity to be among the first to step inside the newly conserved Castle and uncover the stories of faith and power that await inside.

Entry to the Castle will be offered at the discounted rate of £5 per adult, £4 concessions and £1 per child for this day only. Tickets will be on sale from midday on Wednesday, 11 September and will be available in person from Auckland Tower. Online and telephone bookings are not available for this event.

General admission

Tickets for Sunday, 3 November onwards will also be available from Wednesday, 11 September. Visitors can buy an Individual Venue Ticket for the Castle, or an Auckland Pass, which offers entry to the Castle, Bishop Trevor Gallery, Mining Art Gallery and Auckland Tower and will allow for return visits.
