BearGanza: Teddy Bear Takeover in the Castle – July 2019

Over eighty bears have successfully stormed Muncaster Castle and are now enjoying living there along with the slightly bearwildered Pennington family, who have previously held the Castle on their own for well over 800 years.

To celebrate their joint occupation of the Castle and their aim to live harmoniously there together, the Bears and the family are holding a BearGanza during the month of July, showing the Bears enjoying the luxury of the Castle’s ornate Drawing Room.

The BearGanza will be open with the Castle (12 noon to 4pm, daily in July INCLUDING SATURDAYS, pase note, when the Castle will be open) and can be visited by holders of Castle entry tickets at no further charge. As well as the Teddy Talk on July 17th, a chance to talk to Ravenglass’s resident teddy specialist for advice on restoration and valuation, there will also be a Pop-Up Teddy Bear Market in the Castle on Sundays 14th and 28th July.

Please visit our website to book tickets or for further information.

Corporate events

What more prestigious setting for your meeting, conference, event or product launch than a medieval castle set in 77 acres of woodland gardens?

Whether you’re planning an informal meeting for two, a formal conference for 100, team building or a training day, Muncaster has a range of rooms and facilities available to meet your requirements and budget, from the Bluebell Room for up to eight delegates or the Old Laundry Function Room seating around 100 through to the grand boardroom setting of the Formal Dining Room of the Castle itself, together with ample private and free parking in the grounds.

Meeting rooms can be hired, set up to your requirements, from £75 per day. Alternatively, for a more complete service, half-day delegate rates are £10.50 per person to include room hire, data projector, flipchart, paper and pens and a serving of tea, coffee and biscuits.

Full day rates are £27.50 per delegate to include room hire, data projector, flipcharts, paper and pens, bacon sandwiches on arrival, mineral water, three servings of tea, coffee and biscuits and a home-cooked two-course lunch.

From your initial enquiry to the day itself, our team will be dedicated to delivering the service that you’d expect from a venue as impressive as Muncaster Castle. Whilst the service will be as you would expect for a luxury setting, the food is no less a standard. Home-made on-site with local produce, this helps add that extra touch of class to your day. The experience can be enhanced by adding a private tour of the castle or an elegant Champagne reception in the Great Hall.
