Minterne House offers a wedding venue, reception venue, banquet hall, party and marquee area, luxury en-suite accommodation and much more, all in one amazing setting.
For large civil wedding ceremonies of eighty guests or more, the magnificent Trafalgar Hall provides the perfect backdrop as you exchange your vows. The historic Trafalgar Hall is a light room with floor to ceiling mullioned windows and barrel vaulted ceilings.
The addition of a marquee in the size and style of your choosing, enables you to invite up to four hundred guests to share your unforgettable wedding reception celebrations. The stunning South Front Lawns that overlook 1600 acres of rolling countryside are available for your exclusive use.
Lady Digby’s Garden Room
Lady Digby’s Garden Room offers a cosy, romantic atmosphere for you and your cherished guests. The stunning South Front Lawns of Lady Digby’s Garden Room overlook 1600 acres of rolling countryside. This makes for an unforgettable backdrop as you make your wedding vows.
Tapestry Dining Room
The Tapestry Dining Room is richly decorated with its original 18th Century Churchill Tapestries and ceiling painted by Sir James Thornhill. This is a fabulous location to hold a small wedding reception and dine in style. Up to 80 seated guests can be accommodated at round tables or we can provide mahogany tables.
At Minterne House we have four exquisite bedrooms located on the first floor for guests wishing to stay overnight. Each bedroom has been decorated individually with fine fabrics and furnishings to reflect its character and historical context. All have ensuite facilities as well as commanding spectacular views across the parkland. Larger numbers of guests may be accommodated at a number of good hotels nearby.
These rooms are only available in association with a Wedding, Conference or Private Dining Event at Minterne.
If you have many guests travelling from further afield, Minterne has partnered with excellent local hotel The George Albert in order to provide a discount for group bookings.
Minterne is the perfect venue for any number of corporate functions from seminars, director’s board meetings, strategy think tanks and marketing conferences, to product launches and awards presentations. An event in one of Dorset’s best country houses and great gardens of England is sure to make an unforgettable impression.
The stunning and historic grand Trafalgar Hall is a light room with floor to ceiling mullioned windows and barrel vaulted ceilings that can accommodate up to one-hundred guests for dining, for a theatre style conference or seminar we can accommodate up to 160 seated guests. If you are looking for a place where your company can socialise, up to 450 guests are able to enjoy drinks in grand hall.
We welcome visits from primary and secondary schools.
Tours will be given by the owner if available, or the Head Gardener in his absence.
