Leighton Hall is located in North Lancashire, it is nestled in a bowl of parkland, against a backdrop of the Lake District hills.
The ancestral home of the world-renowned Gillow furniture family, Leighton Hall is still lived in today and is no stuffy museum – there aren’t any roped off areas here!
Visitors are invited to sit on the furniture, touch things, relax and explore. Families and children are always welcome as there is plenty for them to do - tree face trail, caterpillar maze, woodland walk and outdoor play area.
There is a treat for everyone in our traditional tea room - tea is served in proper tea cups with a variety of home-made cakes and treats to choose from.
1 May to 30 September: Tuesday to Friday, Sundays and Mondays of Bank Holidays weekends, and Sundays in August; 2pm to 5pm.
Leighton Hall is located in the wonderful county of Lancashire. We are easy to find as we have local Brown Tourism Signs that direct you from the M6.
We are just 10 minutes or 3 miles from J35 of the M6, and well signed on the A6 between Lancaster and Kendal. By following the signs you will travel north along the A6, before turning left in to the village of Yealand Conyers. Once in the village you will turn right up Peter Lane where you can access the main drive to the Hall.
You can Travel to Silverdale Train Station and then walk across the Moss, known as Leighton Moss, on the footpath that links the neighboring properties.
