Overview

One of the more spectacular Victorian castles set in superb scenery of Royal Deeside. The castle is a late-Victorian Arts-and-Crafts fantasy on Scottish tower-house architecture. Kincardine Castle sits at the heart of the Kincardine Estate and offers world class hospitality from the laird & his wife.

Kincardine Castle is not open to the public but does have regular pop-up café days, an annual garden opening, tours and other occasions when the castle and its grounds are open.

Weddings

We don't have wedding packages as we believe you should be telling us what you want rather than us telling you what you're
getting. We have just a few weddings a year so every couple are treated as, indeed they are, friends by the wedding day. So, bad
luck, we'll have a glass of your champagne too!  Glorious, comfy, homely, loving hospitality.

For weddings large or small - from intimate groups where all stay in the castle for a few days; to marquee events for over 500
enjoying the gardens and superb hospitality and with the core family group staying. We can do it all. We're emphatically not a wedding factory and have just a few select weddings each year. We provide a loving, homely, personal, caring venue for your special day. Most people make a weekend of it.

  • Accommodation: 29 beds in 16 bedrooms - each with its own bathroom. We provide world-class hospitality.
  • Ceremony: The Great Hall (seats up to 103) or we have good contacts with local church.
  • Catering: Superb in-house team for events up to 120; excellent local caterers for larger events.
  • Event Management: We do a lot of this in-house.
  • Superb Gardens: For treasured wedding photography and a choice of 3 marquee sites.

We can offer:

  • Suppliers list
  • Overnight guest accommodation
  • Wedding planner
  • Bridal suite
  • Guest parking
  • Accessible parking
  • In-house catering

Thank you so much for your support and love over the weekend and making our wedding so very special. Your home and family are so welcoming and made all our guests feel at home.

Thank you so much Andrew & Nicky for making our daughter’s wedding the most amazing fairytale wedding any bride could hope for.

A wonderful warm welcome that has continued for the whole weekend. Thanks for having us in your lovely home and letting us treat it as our own.

Accommodation

A stay in the castle is to step into the lives of the laird and his wife for a few days and be treated as one of their close friends. Their hospitality is legendary.

In the castle are 16 guest bedrooms furnished with antiques each with its own bathroom. Our exclusive-use accommodation is for groups only and includes superb hospitality with seriously good cuisine. Over your stay you'll find out a great deal about the history of the castle and family, about the gardens and how a Scottish estate supports its local community. In all a fascinating, friendly and homely time - we'll leave it for one of our past guests to sum up:

"We shall never forget the extraordinary warmth of your welcome at Kincardine. You two are wonderful hosts and you spoilt us rotten. You have a very special house, and you have the great gift of being able to share it with people you’ve never met before, treat them as friends and make them feel completely at home."

Corporate Hire

Corporate events

If you can't be at home for business we believe the next best thing is to stay in a relaxed homely environment rather than yet another nice hotel. We provide that ambience - comfort, friendship, intelligent conversation, superb hospitality and so much more while providing the requirements for successful meetings.

When a seriously well-travelled businessman took me aside he did so to tell me we were providing world-class hospitality. When I pointed out the things we didn't have - like swimming pools and fitness rooms, he replied that didn't matter in the slightest - what we did provide was of infinitely greater value - our ability to look after people we've never met and treat them as old friends.

For your business we provide a home from home - need we say more?

We can offer:

  • Wifi
  • Plentiful parking
  • Dinner
  • Refreshments
  • Overnight accommodation
  • Wheelchair accessible
  • Accessible toilets
  • Team building activities
  • Breakfast
  • Projector and screen
  • Lunch

We have been lucky enough to have our Strategy Seminar in some of the greatest surroundings around the world. However Kincardine and its gracious hosts have vanquished these places - whose mere 5 stars have wilted in comparison.

Thank you for looking after us so well. I knew it would be special but you exceeded my wildest expectations and from my colleagues who tend to "get about a bit" - you clearly exceeded theirs too. It really did feel like home but within which we had the ability to have a continuous meeting, uninterrupted and supported with everything that we needed.

What a unique experience. Your warm hospitality in a breathtakingly beautiful setting provided a special memory. It put a new standard to a business conference!

School Visits

At Kincardine Castle we can provide a visit to suit the requirements of either primary or secondary school curriculums and work with the school to focus the the visit on their chosen subject.
