Catton Estate has been owned by the same family since 1405. The new house built in 1745 is lived in as a private family home and retains most of its original contents and architectural features.
The house sits in its own private parkland on the banks of the River Trent and is available for all types of events from Classic Cars to equestrian events and from Firework festivals to music festivals.
Guided group tours by prior appointment only.
Please note a change from information listed in our handbook: because of the property changing hands, tours are now by appointment only and are not free for Historic Houses members.
Private group tours can be arranged all year round. Most tour groups combine their tour with morning coffee, afternoon tea or wine & canapés for an evening tour. The tour takes approximately two hours with a maximum of fifty people.
