Casterne Hall is a Grade II* manor house set high above the Manifold Valley in its own grounds in the heart of the Peak District.
We are open to the public for tours of the house and garden, private functions, weddings, bed and breakfast, holiday accommodation, photo-shoots and films.

One guided tour per day, 3pm.
To find Casterne, leave Ilam going N towards Stanshope, passing the village school on your right.
Take the first lane on the left just out of the village. Go past a lodge and over a cattle grid and continue straight past a 'No Through Road. Casterne Farms Only' board up the steep drive to the house.

Set in its own grounds, and with stunning views of the Manifold Valley, Casterne is at the centre of some of the most beautiful walking country in the whole of Britain, with several footpaths leading literally from the doorstep.
There are four bedrooms - two super-kings and two twins - in an exclusive suite on the top floor which also includes a large and very comfortable living room, kitchenette, and a large dining table. Here you can make your meals. There are also two more rooms available (a double and a single) on the first floor if required.
The holiday cottage, the Hayloft is a newly-converted one bedroom flat beautifully decorated and furnished with all the modern amenities you could possibly want to make your stay special and hassle free.
