Overview

Ashridge is one of the most beautiful and historically significant parks and gardens in England.

A jewel of the late 18th Century and of the early 19th Century picturesque style at its zenith, it survives intact, little altered. It is of great rarity and is registered Grade II* by English Heritage.

The Ashridge (Bonar Law Memorial) Trust has a duty of care to preserve Ashridge House and Gardens for the benefit of the nation.

Over the past fifteen years the Italian Garden, Rose Garden, Herb Garden and Flower Garden have all been restored and, at the same time modern gardens have also been created to complement new developments.

The gardens are maintained to the highest standard and are open to the public on a regular basis throughout the summer.

Majestically nestled in National Trust woodland in Hertfordshire’s rolling Chiltern Hills, and surrounded by 190 acres of stunning gardens, Ashridge House is the proverbial jewel in the estate’s crown.

The turreted exterior of our Grade 1 listed mansion makes a lasting impression and the magnificent interconnecting function rooms provide an elegant setting for your special day.

The palatial Lady Marian Alford room, decorated in beautiful Italianate style, or the art deco inspired Repton Hall, can be transformed for sumptuous wedding dining experiences.

The stunning cantilevered staircase that majestically winds its way around the Main Hall is the preferred location for many civil wedding ceremonies.
