Moggerhanger Park is a 33 acre estate in the middle of beautiful Bedfordshire countryside.
Moggerhanger House is a Grade 1 listed house designed by the eminent architect, Sir John Soane Designed in 1792 as the country home of the Governor of the Bank of England, Godfrey Thornton.
There is so much to be discovered here at Moggerhanger Park with its unique history and inspiring architecture. Many of the original garden features are still in existence today including the spacious walled gardens, an ice house and a peaceful woodland walk.
Please note: The information on the Historic Houses website is advisory, but please always check the website of the house or garden you intend to visit before travelling.
The Park grounds are open to the public 8am – 4pm every day except Christmas Day (B&B guests please press the gate buzzer or call 01767 641007 for entry outside these times). There is a free car park.
Orchard Tearoom: 10am – 4pm (closed Mondays and Tuesdays).
The House is open for B&B and event guests every day. We run guided public House Tours on selected Wednesdays and Sundays. These take place mostly during the Summer months, but there are occasional tours during the winter. Visitors are asked to book in advance and meet in the Courtyard from 1.45pm. Tours start at 2pm prompt and last about an hour.

- Historic Houses members – free on production of valid card
- Carers – free. This is for a person who has to accompany an individual who would otherwise not be able to enjoy the House e.g. wheelchair user, signer for a deaf person, a guide for a blind person, a carer for dementia or a mental health patient.

Moggerhanger is situated on the A603, 2 miles from the A1 at Sandy. Just 4 miles from A421 Bedford bypass and 20 minutes from the M1, it is easily accessible from London, Cambridge, Milton Keynes, Birmingham and Oxford.
From the A1, take the A603 at Sandy. From the M1, take junction 13 (A421) and then the A603 at Bedford. Once in Moggerhanger,follow the brown Historic House signs from the A603.
