The high wall and wonderful yew hedge planted in 1710 in the centre of Cirencester town, gives no idea what lies behind. The house was built in the early 1700s and remains the home of the present Lord and Lady Bathurst who will host the visit. The first Earl not only rebuilt the house but also laid out the splendid Grade I landscape park, one of the first in England. Much family furniture and a notable collection of family portraits.
