Castle Howard Estate Ltd is a family owned and run business based in North Yorkshire. One of the UK’s most iconic Stately Homes it is a major tourist destination, attracting over 250,000 visitors a year to the House and grounds. Located at the Courtyard area, the Farm Shop and Carriage Gift Shop serve visitors and local customers all year round. The House Gift Shop serves visitors during House opening.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Operations, we are seeking to appoint a commercially driven Retail Operations Manager who will deliver and be responsible for the implementation of the Retail strategy across the gift shops and farm shop through effective analysis and forecasting. The post holder will have an extensive knowledge of retail management including marketing and merchandising techniques. You will oversee a headcount of circa 10 staff.

You will have experience of managing a team in a multi-site environment including the management of a farm shop. Having an excellent knowledge of food and safety procedures and a working knowledge of an EPOS system are essential.
